The Author

I am a small business owner and  trained Accountant with over 20 years of experience and education in accounting and finance.  Prior to starting my consulting firm, the Anchor Group in 2009,  I worked as Senior Auditor at Pricewaterhousecoopers, Manager in Transaction Advissory Services Group at Ernst & Young and Senior Director of Business Development at Broadridge Financial Solutions.  My first degree was in Accounting and Economics and my second degree is a  MBA in Finance and Accounting.  I have included my LinkedIn Profile (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kehowell)

Motivation to Write this Book

I have had the privilege to train over 1,000 business owners  in New York City over the past seven years in several areas of business management.  I observed that many of the business owners and entrepreneurs that attended my sessions were at first very apprehensive and fearful about the topic of financial management.   I also observed that by the middle of my sessions, I received more questions and participation and by the end of the sessions, I saw sparks of hope and excitement about accounting and financial management.

These sparks of hope and excitement have motivated me to assist more businesses to grow.  However, I realized that I could not provide face-to-face training to most of the small and mid-sized business owners and in some cases, it was cost prohibitive for some business owners to have one-to-one sessions with me.  I figured that I could help more business owners if I replicated my voice, style and my excitement about financial management in a book.  I was very careful not to create another textbook, rather to provide a user friendly and easily followed guide using my years of experience working with large, medium and small businesses and now from running my own company.

All You Can Eat (AYCE), is a comprehensive financial guide that should be leveraged to strengthen your understanding of business financial management (See link to excerpt from first chapter https://www.slideshare.net/lead-campaigns/new?f...).

All You Can Eat answers 10 of the most frequently asked questions by small businesses and entrepreneurs about business financial management.  This book should change how entrepreneurs and business managers measure and monitor the financial health of their businesses.

Earlier this year, I was contracted as one of two NYC Instructor through Interise to facilitate the Small Business Administration Emerging  Leader Program.  During the national offsite training for the Instructors,  I mentioned to one of the instructors that I have been working on a manual for a while to assist SMEs with creating better financial culture throughout their organizations.  I was put on blast and I committed to finishing this book this year, my first book.  I am glad that I have lived up to this commitment, I have completed the book and now I am so excited about sharing it with the world of business managers, entrepreneurs, students and the curious.  I truly believe that this book will help millions of businesses to grow.

Purpose for this Campaign

I need your help.  I need you to collaborate with me in this pre-sale of "All You Can Eat" and help me  raise $35,000 to complete the editing of the manual and publishing and  promotion of the final book. I decided to self publish the book through the economic development and small business network that I have engaged with when I founded Anchor in 2009.   I am committed to this project and the change it will bring to the small business community.
